Credibility
Set yourself apart. In an unregulated industry, establishing a clear standard of education and accreditation is crucial for growth. By earning the RHNP™ or RHNC™ designation, you’ll affirm your status as an elite professional to clients and employers.
Continuing Education
To keep your designation active, GAIN requires 20 continuing education credits (CECs) annually for the first five years, followed by 10 CECs each year thereafter. We provide a variety of free and paid courses to keep you updated on the latest research, products, and services.

I have an extensive educational background in the health & Nutrition field, but I have not completed a Holistic Nutrition course. May I join?
We would love to welcome you to our incredible community! However, to maintain the integrity of our organization and the value of our designations, membership is limited to those who are currently enrolled in or have successfully completed an accredited Holistic Nutrition program.
By holding our designations and displaying our “Approved Member” seal, you demonstrate to clients and employers that you have not only invested in your education but also possess the necessary qualifications to practice professionally. This includes comprehensive liability coverage and a commitment to continual learning in the field.
While we cannot offer membership at this time, we encourage you to pursue an approved program so you can join us in the future. We look forward to the possibility of having you as part of our community!
How many continuing education credits am i required to complete each year?
As a professional member of GAIN, you are required to complete 20 Continuing Education (CE) Credit Hours during your first five consecutive years of membership. After this initial period, the requirement reduces to 10 CE Credits each year.
If you completed your designation course in the same year you joined us, congratulations! You’ve already fulfilled your first year’s CE requirements.
Am I required to hold liability insurance to be a professional member?
Yes, as a condition of membership GAIN requires that all professional members hold a minimum of $1M or errors and omissions insurance within 90 days of joining. Student members are not required to have insurance as they non-practicing members.
what school does GAIN recommend?
As an association, we pride ourselves on maintaining impartiality, so we do not endorse any specific school. However, we can assure you that all programs approved by GAIN have undergone a rigorous review process and meet or exceed our credentialing standards for the specified designation.
